Document for Visa
When you attend your appointment at a visa application center, you will need to bring a number of documents with you. These include Printed and signed application summary sheet
2 Passport sized color photographs
Original valid passport which has sufficient space for the insertion of the visa sticker (at least one blank page is required)
Appointment and payment confirmation receipt(s)
Signed letter of application including full contact details
In the case of an applicant who is a child (a person who is under 18 years of age), their birth certificate in all cases, and if the child is travelling alone or without both parents/legal guardians, signed consent from parents/guardians accompanied by copies of the consenting parent(s)/guardian(s) passport or national identity card which clearly shows their signatures
Supporting documents for the relevant visa category
Copies of all original documents (other than items 2 in this list). In the case of your passport a copy of the bio data page is sufficient.
All supporting documents must be original documents and in English, or accompanied by a notarized translation.
The supporting documents that you submit are important because they provide information about your personal circumstances. Please note that the onus is on you to satisfy the Irish Government decision-maker that a visa should be granted for the purpose sought.

Missing documents or copies
The visa application center will not accept your application if it is missing one or more of documents 1 to 6 in the list above.
In the event that your application is missing one or more of these documents the visa application center will highlight the missing documents to you and will give you the opportunity to provide the missing documents the same day. If you choose not to do so you can reschedule your appointment or cancel your application.
If your application is missing documents, other than documents 1 to 6 i.e. common supporting documents, the visa application center will highlight the missing documents to you before accepting your supporting documents and will give you the opportunity to:
Provide the missing documents the same day before progressing your application,
Proceed with your application on the condition that you sign a confirmation that the omission was highlighted to you by the visa application center, or
Reschedule or cancel your appointment.
If you are missing copies of original documents the visa application center will highlight this to you and give you the opportunity to provide the missing copies the same day. You will have the option of using the photocopying services available within the visa application center (at an additional cost) or using photocopying services available elsewhere. Alternatively you can reschedule or cancel your appointment.
Attend your appointment
On the day of your appointment, plan to arrive 15 minutes early at the visa application center.
Bring your documents with you.
When you arrive at the visa application center you will collect a token. Wait until your token is called to make your application.
Once the visa filing process is completed you will be issued with an acknowledgment receipt. Please hold on to your receipt as you will need this later to collect your documents.
Important note: You will not be able to submit further documents once your application has been submitted at the visa application center. The documents that you submitted at the time you made your application will be the only documents that are considered.
You can apply for a visa up to 3 months before your date of travel to Ireland. We strongly advise you not to confirm your travel arrangements until you have received your visa. To find out how long it usually takes to process your type of visa, see the processing times page.
Choose how you want to collect your documents;-
Choose whether you would prefer to collect your documents in person at the visa application center or have them delivered to you by post.

Application:
The summary application sheet generated by the online application system will direct you to this website where you can pay your visa fee unless you are exempt. Read more about who is exempt from the visa fee.
The summary application sheet will also tell you whether you are required to attend at a visa application center for the purpose of providing your biometric information and /or submitting your documents. If you are required to attend at a visa application center the summary application sheet will direct you to this website to pay the service charge (unless you are exempt) and to book you appointment. The summary application sheet will contain your application transaction number. You should take note of the number you are given. You will need it later.

Step 1 Find out what visa you need, make an online application
Visit the website of the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service to find out what visa you need and make your online application by visiting the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service . Please also refer to the Embassy of Ireland, New Delhi for any information particular to making an application in India.
The summary application sheet generated by the online application system will direct you to this website where you can pay your visa fee unless you are exempt.
The summary application sheet will also tell you whether you are required to attend at a visa application center for the purpose of providing your biometric information and /or submitting your documents. Step 2 Pay your visa fee /service charge / purchase additional services;-
Register your details
In order to pay your visa fee and service charge on this website you will be required to register your details. You will need to have your application transaction number (printed on application summary sheet), passport number and expiry date, and an email address. You will also be required at this stage to identify if you are exempt from the visa fee and to select the exemption reason.
Purchase Additional Services
Before you complete the payment of your visa fee and service charge you will be given the option of selecting added value services. These services are optional. They are not necessary for you to complete your application and do not influence the outcome of your application.
Add another applicant
Before you complete your payment you will have the option of adding further applicants. In order to add further applicants you will need to register their details. You will need to have their application transaction number (printed on application summary sheet), passport number and expiry date. You will also be required at this stage to identify if they are exempt from the visa fee and to select the exemption reason.
Once you have completed this stage you will be asked to agree to the “terms and conditions” before proceeding to payment. Please note that the visa fee is not refundable if you do not proceed with your application.

Step 3 Book your appointment:-
If you are required to attend at a visa application center in order to provide your biometrics and/or submit your documents, you must book and attend an appointment at a visa application center. Your appointment must be within 30 days of the date on which you completed your online visa application form.
Once you have completed your payment you will be given the opportunity to book your appointment on this website.
All visa applicants are required to book an appointment to attend at a visa application center.
Step 4 Print your appointment and payment confirmation receipt(s)
Once you have completed the payment and appointment booking process successfully the payment receipt and appointment confirmation receipt will be sent to the email address that you provided. You must print the receipt(s) and bring them with you when you attend your appointment at the visa application center.

Visa Application Fees:
The visa fee is an administration fee. It is not refundable if your application is either withdrawn or refused. You may be exempt from the requirement to pay the visa fee. Read more about who is exempt from the requirement to pay the visa fee on this page.

Service charge
If you are attending at a visa application center for the purpose of providing your biometric information and/or submitting the documents relating to your online visa application you are required to pay a service charge. This fee is separate to the visa fee.
