Why do Use SAT?

SAT Eligibility
The College Board does not specify any particular SAT 2018 eligibility for taking the entrance examination. There is no maximum or minimum age limit set by the conducting authority. Typically candidates opt for the exam in their junior or senior years of high school (Indian Grades 11th or 12th), to be precise, aspirants are roughly between 17 or 18 years of age. SAT can be taken seven times in a year in the US and five times internationally. The SAT 2018 registration can be completed both online and by mail. One can also select his/her preferred SAT test center depending on convenience. There are no specific SAT eligibility criteria for taking SAT Test. Since it is taken for admission in colleges, students are advised to take the test when they are in junior or senior high school.
SAT Fees
The basic fee for the exam is $52, but it varies based on the country of the applicant. For Indian applicants, the fee for SAT comes out to be ~$106 (with written essay), or ~$94 (without essay).
In Indian Rupees, the SAT exam fee is around 6200-7000 INR.
Apart from the general SAT, one can sit for subject SATs which can be useful under certain circumstances. The fee for subject SATs comes out to be ~$111, though the importance of subject tests is gradually diminishing in general.
Test Centers
The SAT exam is conducted at the test centers in following cities: New Delhi, Bangalore, Calcutta, Cochin, Pune, Mussoorie, Kodaikanal, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Chennai. Please note that these cities have multiple test centers.
SAT Scores
The College Board ® releases the official SAT® scores to the candidates five weeks after the respective SAT test dates. Test takers receive the SAT result 2018 either online or by mail. Moreover, the respective colleges receive scores within 10 days after examinees receive their SAT scores. The candidates opting for SAT with essay will receive scores on May.
